Final blog
My personal assessment of myself now is a little better. I am trying to keep the set goals I have made for myself each day, but some days obstacles get in the way. I score myself a 8 on my psychological area, because I have found some peace within myself. After many trials and tribulations, I have come to terms or understand why they happened. This class has made me more aware of making the most of each day and making myself happy. Physically, I am doing my three times a week physical exercise routine, but I would like to add one more day. But my son has started a new after school program so that has caused another day full of activities. I would score myself a 7, since I have improved a little. Spiritually my score would be a 7 also. I am trying to give God more of my time. I need to read my bible more and set aside more time for prayer and meditation. I feel alot better when I talk with God. This course has help me with my work, because I try to help each patient with each part of their lives. It has benefited me in every way. I try to work on all areas in my life, so I can begin living a happy and wholeness life.

unit 9 project
I. Introduction: Why is it important for health and wellness professionals to develop psychologically, spiritually, and physically? What areas do you need to develop to achieve the goals you have fro yourself? Health and wellness professionals are the main component in the healing process of their patients. In order for them to have an open mind and be a good listener, they need to have their health in good standing. It helps the health and wellness professional to respect and understand the meaning of complete or whole health. They also need the ability to respond to patients with wisdom, compassion, help relieve suffering, and assist with the intention to sustain health, happiness, and wholeness. To achieve the goals for myself, I need to work on my spiritual, physical, and psychological areas. Since I have taken this class, I have enjoyed and benefited from the different practices, especially the loving-kindness. The reading has shown me how I am not completely healthy, if I have an area that is weak. The daily routine of life as made me not think about my true whole life. Now I am beginning to meditate which gives time to clear my mind and actually be able to make decisions that that will benefit all areas of my health.
II. Assessment: How have you assessed your health each domain? How do you score you wellness spiritually, physically, and psychologically? This class has given me the opportunity to think about each aspect of my life and start enhancing the areas that need work. On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 as the best score, my spiritual score is about 5. I do not set time during the week to read my bible or pray like want. Physically, I am a 7 due to the lack of exercise during the week. My psychological score is a 6, because I have experienced certain things in life that have not been dealt with. This causes me to avoid things or people.
III. Goal development: List at least one goal you have for yourself in each area, Physical, Psychological (mental health) and Spiritual. My physical goal is to start a weekly routine of exercise and purchase a treadmill for home. I want to exercise at least four times a week for about 30 minutes. The psychological goal for me is to practice meditation on a daily basis after work to help me unwind after a long day. This will give the opportunity to reflect on the day and future decisions. My spiritual goal is to set a time for prayer each day and study my bible more. Bible study at church will help with the understanding of the bible and the understanding why certain things happen.
IV. Practices for personal health: What strategies can you implement to foster growth in each of the following domains; Physical, Psychological, and Spiritual. Provide at least two examples of each exercise or practices in each domain. Explain how you will implement each example. The loving-kindness practice will help with my spiritual growth, because it appreciates the good in people. It also gives you the chance to focus on the suffering of other people and show sympathy. Prayer is another practice that will help grow my relationship with God. It is important to give God time each day and thank him for surviving each day. To grow psychologically, I will use the practice of meditation. It allows me to relax and clear my mind. Meditation is a great practice that gives you the opportunity to truly think about things and relieve stress. The second practice to help with the development of psychological health is the subtle mind. This practice will help me train my mind and handle situation better. It can also help me with better awareness and unity consciousness. My physical growth with be helped by the practice of yoga. Yoga helps the body relax, stretch, and soothes the mind. After my exercise routine, I can use yoga as a cool down exercise to help the body relax. Exercise is the main practice to help me grow physically healthier. It is another important key to a healthy lifestyle as well as eating a proper diet.
V. Commitment: How will you assess your progress in the next six months? What strategies can you use to assist in maintaining your long-term practices for health and wellness? I will use a journal to keep record of my progress. Some strategies that will help me continue my practices are the support of family and friends. The way I feel each day is another strategy to keep my focus on my goal. Being a good example to my children is the main strategy to maintain my practices. References:

Unit 8
Meditation and visualization are the two practices that has benefited the most during this class. Meditation has made me think about things in my life that needs healing or improvement. Life is too short to be unhappy or not living life fully. Education has always made me feel as if I was accomplishing something, so visualization has made see how I want my future to be. There are so many aspects of a person's life that needs attention. I have let the daily routine make my spiritual and mental aspects go lacking. My spiritual life has been my main area of my life that was first. Pray and my faith in God has made obstacles easier to handle. God bless everyone and good health.

unit 7 meeting asclepius
The visualization in this exercise was alot more vivid and I enjoyed that it had several steps to relax you. By the second portion, I almost fell asleep. This exercise was my favorite over all the other ones on the CD. After the exercise, I took time to read some pages in my bible and I also shared the exercise with my husband in the car.

unit 6 universal loving-kindness
The world would be a better place if would follow the practice of loving-kindness. As I tried this exercise, I noticed that I tried to be more kind and helpful to people, instead of thinking of the worst in people.

unit 5 blog
My connection with spiritual wellness is one area of my life that is very important. I feel that I am not a whole person without my relationship with God. Each day I strive to be a better person and do the right things. I would not have the strenght or faith in my daily life struggles without my belief or honor to God.
